Croatia, as a Mediterranean country enjoys the status of one of the top destinations for nautical tourism. It is logical that along with the great interest from foreign visitors the number of charter boats is growing as well. If you are planning to visit the Adriatic, we will give you some advice before you decide on this kind of tourism. First of all, decide which type of vessel is most suited for you and your abilities; small boats, sports boats (speedboats), motor yachts or sailing boats … If you are going on a day trip, fishing trip or multi-day cruise, make sure on time that you have enough safety equipment and a valid license. If you do not have enough experience as a skipper, we recommend you use a professional skipper or skipper training.

After taking over the boat (check-in), it is very important to thoroughly check the inventory (check list) that incorporates the important items of boat equipment such as life jackets, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, nautical chart with accessories and other supplies prescribed by the registry. Special attention should be paid to possible damage to the outer part of the boat – the hull. It is also important to check whether the vessel has an appropriate anchor with an appropriate length of chain and rope and if the end of the rope is tied to the boat. For easier navigation and orientation at sea, each vessel is equipped with high quality GPS navigation system combined with a sonar.
